LBS Library is the academic library of Lagos Business School and is rich in business and management information resources carefully acquired to support the teaching, learning, and research mandates of faculty, students, and staff of the school. The goal of the library is to provide access to information in various formats representing the curricular and research needs of the LBS community.
The library's physical collections contain 11000 books, journals, audio visuals and newspapers. The library also provides access to electronic resources in addition to physical resources. The library building consists of three floors and has a sitting capacity for 145 users. In addition to its tranquil and conducive environment, it is equipped with a board room, a garden (where students can read in the natural environment) and a hybrid computer lab with full internet access and multimedia facilities for the promotion of a conducive learning environment.
The library is well staffed with seasoned librarians who render both regular and specialized library services to meet the information needs of our patrons such as Information literacy, Selective Dissemination of Information, Reservation, Document Download and Reprographics Services.
The library provides access to Bloomberg terminals (Bloomberg Professional Service), allowing professionals to monitor real-time financial market data and place trades electronically. Additionally, the terminals provide news, price quotes, and messaging across a secure network to large, institutional investors, and facilitate communication, information, and trade among them.
Membership of the library is open to all registered students, participants, faculty, staff, and alumni with current ID Cards. The library is also open to individuals and corporate organizations who are associate members to use its facilities and resources.
